Edmond John Zakreski of Little Rock, passed away April 21, 2016 in Malvern, Arkansas 4 days shy of his 98th birthday. Born April 25, 1918 in North Little Rock, he was the son of John and Katie Kopacz Zakreski. A veteran of World War II, he worked and retired from Sterling Department Stores. He especially loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and working in his yard. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Loujean Temple Zakreski; brother, Walter; sisters, Frances Schmitt, and Regina Slayton, he is survived by his only daughter, Martha Frye and her husband, Joe; granddaughters, Bridget Harper, Melissa Skinner and Carrie Alston; great-grandchildren, Kyle Harper, Josie Collins and Cory Collins. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6219 Baseline Road, Little Rock, 72209 with Father Mark Wood, Celebrant. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
