Henry Clyde McCrary

Henry Clyde McCrary, aged 97, of Sherwood died April 20, 2016. He was born March 13, 1919 in Little Rock, Arkansas to James Walter and Nina Mae (Pinnell) McCrary. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha E. McCrary, sisters, Mary Gladys Padgett and Juanita Chloe McCrary and step-son, James Starkey. He is survived by his step-son, Danny L. Starkey and wife Aleecia of Sherwood, granddaughter, Alyssa Starkey Goad and her husband, Wesley and great-grandson, Daniel Goad. He is also survived by his nieces, Kay Andrews and Fay Young and her husband, Tommy Young. Henry leaves several great nieces and nephews who were very important to him. Henry served in the Navy before and during WWII. After WWII, when the Air Force was created he transferred to the USAF and retired with more than 21 years of service. Family visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 23rd at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, Sherwood, Arkansas. His funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
