Sandra Trawick Berry died Tues., April 19, in the Forrest City Medical Center. Born Jan. 12, 1946, and raised in Little Rock, she went to Central High School and received her undergraduate degree at Baylor University before completing law school at the University of Arkansas Law School-Little Rock. She started her career as an attorney in the Public Defenders Office of Pulaski County. Sandra also proctored the Arkansas Bar Exam in Little Rock for many years. Moving to Forrest City in 2000, she loved living in the Delta region and became active in the local Garden Club and as a Master Gardener. She most enjoyed working in her own rose garden, while her health allowed, and attended the St. Francis Catholic Church of Forrest City. Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved son, Samuel Lynn (Beau) Beavers II, on April 5, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Venita Trawick, and her Clumber Spaniel, Hamilton. She is survived by her sisters, Leslie Harrell and Becky Louks, and Thomas M. Hayde of the home. Services will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the St. Francis County Master Gardner Program, at 313 S. Izard, Suite 14, Forrest City, Ark., 72335.
