Anna Burris Varnell

ANNA BARBARA BURRIS VARNELL of Hensley, Ark. was born Oct. 7, 1965 at Little Rock, the daughter of Mary Sue Carr Burris and the late Homer "H.E." Burris. She was a member of Lone Pine Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as pianist. Anna truly had a servant's heart, and was a caregiver to many, and a friend to all. She enjoyed shopping and making memories with her family, and she adored her cats. Anna died Saturday, April 23, 2016, near Sheridan, as the result of an automobile accident, at the age of 50. She is survived by her husband and best friend for 25 years, Boyd Lee Varnell Jr.; daughters, Macey Varnell, and Olivia Varnell, both of Hensley; mother, Mary Burris of Harrison; brothers, Doug (Cathy) Burris of Harrison, Greg (Terri) Burris of Hensley, Dwight Burris of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Charlotte (Robert) Lunsford of Harrison; mother-in-law, Linda (Pete) Smith of Watson Chapel; numerous nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Ronnie Meredith and Bro. John Marlar officiating. Burial will be in Woodson Cemetery. Visitation is also Tuesday, from 1 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to Lone Pine Missionary Baptist Church, P.O.
