MAEZELLE (MAEZIE) WADE HENRY PRIDDY not only passed from death to life but is now singing with the angels. Maezie passed from this earth on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at age 101. She lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Cliff McBryde of North Little Rock, Ark. Her selfless and giving spirit was honored by the gathering of her family in her last hours. One can only imagine the support and love shared by the family, a time of sweet sorrow but also a time of rejoicing with the soft and gentle refrains of her favorite hymn sung in praise of the Lord who blessed her each day of her life. Maezie was and shall remain a beacon of hope and caring in the hearts of those she touched. Many have been blessed by her personal attention and loving spirit. Everyone she met along with her friends and family will remember that engaging smile and those sparkling eyes, reserved just for them. There is a legacy to capture and live by; her words written on the 99th birthday are a charge to us all. "Live your life well, always tell the truth, listen well when someone is talking to you and work hard at understanding them. Be good to yourself and do good for others, sing a song of Praise each day. Never forget the Lord loves you. Keep your heart and mind focused on Him daily." Maezie's life calling as a Homemaker fit her perfectly. The sweet aroma coming from her kitchen where every meal was a celebration became her calling card, the hearth of her home welcomed all who entered and her spontaneous smile might just be followed by melodious tunes from her clear, soprano voice. Her musical talents were shared as a piano teacher and in the music ministry of her church. As a Sunday School teacher, she delighted in sharing the love of Christ with her students and later honed her faith at Bible Study Fellowship for many years. Her gift of Service to others was always available and never wavering. Maezie was preceded in death by Joe Dodd Henry, her first husband and Hence J. Priddy, her second husband. She is survived by her two children, Joe D. Henry (Mary Alice) of Little Rock, Ark. and Sherry M. McBryde (Cliff) of North Little Rock, Ark. Maezie leaves five grandchildren, Carole (David) Dalton, Beth (Brian) Rudisill, Marty (Dan) Heard, Elyse (Sean) Speckels, and Ashley Henry. Her 10 great-grandchildren are Elizabeth and Will Dalton, Caroline and Grant Rudisill, Grace, Leigha and Noah Heard, Norah Speckels, and Kallen Henry/Lana Gibson along with many cousins. Maezie has two nieces, Patricia (Dub) Chambers of Colorado and Linda (Robert) Everett of Oklahoma. Special thanks to the faithful servants at Gentiva Hospice and to her care givers Rosemary Uwabor, Jemellah Webster, Angela Ward, and Kewanna Gibbons. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Ark. 72114 (501-758-1170).
