Jo Ann Bland Green

Jo Ann Bland Green, 83, of Pine Bluff, went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was born May 6, 1932 in Pine Bluff, daughter of Dora Wafford Bland and John Bland Sr. Mrs. Green was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1951. She worked for the Watson Chapel School District for 20 years, retiring in 1993. Mrs. Green and her husband, James, traveled for several years after retirement. She enjoyed her grandchildren and helped take care of them. Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Lynn Green; and two brothers, John Harold Bland and Charles Wafford Bland. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, James D. Green; twin sons, Mark Alan (Jill) Green and James Michael (Peggy) Green; four grandchildren, Megan (Jeffrey) Boyce, Trevor, Jessica and Jacob Green; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Boyce and Emma Catherine Boyce; and sister-in-law, Barbara Bland. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Howard Loetscher officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
