Mrs. Rebecca S. Cogbill, 73, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Rebecca was born November 2, 1942 in Reader, Arkansas to Luther and Ruth Acuff Creech. Mrs. Cogbill graduated from Gurdon High School in 1960. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served as a pianist, organist and secretary. For 15 years she worked as a bank teller at BancorpSouth. She led a beautiful life and left a legacy of faith and service to the Lord. She was loyal and loved her family. Mrs. Cogbill was preceded in death by her mother and father; three sisters, Melba Webb, Margie Hughes and Peggy Howell. She is survived by her husband, Charles Cogbill of Hope, Arkansas; one son, Jimmy Cogbill of Hope, Arkansas; two daughters, Javonna Johnson (Gary) of Hope, Arkansas and Jeannie Cross (Stephen) of Bryant, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Evan Smith and Davis Johnson; two step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 between the hours of 6–8 p.m. at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with Bro. Hal Dixon and Bro. Gary Johnson officiating.
