William (Bill) Lee Holder Jr., 62, of Little Rock, passed away on Tuesday, April 26. He was born on February 7, 1954 in Roswell, New Mexico to William Lee and Jane Wilson Holder. Bill proudly served his country in the US Navy, as a submariner aboard the USS Patrick Henry. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1989 with a MBA in Finance and Human Resources. Bill retired in 2011 as the Vice President and CIO for Dillard's Inc. He was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church. Bill was an avid Razorback fan, boating enthusiast, loved target shooting and golf, but above all, he loved his family. He cherished his time with his wife and children and was so proud to become a grandfather of "Miss O", taking the name "Gramps". Bill is survived by his wife, Melinda Holder; children, William Lee Holder III of Houston, Texas, Peggy Jane Debruler and husband, James of Benton, Ark., Emily Holder Swanson and husband, Travis of Fayetteville, AR; parents, William Lee Sr. and Jane Holder; sister, Roberta Holder of Ft. Smith, Ark.; brothers, Larry Holder of Oklahoma City, Okla., and John Holder of Denver, Colo.; and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Molly Holder. Memorial service with John Shirron officiating will be on Friday, April 29, 2016 beginning at 2 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Williams honor to Cabot United Methodist Church, the Garrett Uekman Foundation, or the Hope Lodge.
