A 35 year resident of Little Rock, Daniel Walter McKay (Dan) aged 66, died Wednesday April 27, 2016 at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences (UAMS) after a brief illness. Dan leaves his wife of 38 years, Corinne Clement McKay, sons, Patrick and Richard and his wife, Lauren and granddaughter, Josie Winn, his siblings, James McKay (Barbara) and Maureen McKay Benson (Jay) and many close family and friends. He was predeceased by parents, James and Grace and sister, Graceann Bachmann. Dan was a retired Research Associate at UAMS. He was well known as "Coach" by his sons' friends because of his long-term involvement in youth soccer. Dan was a knowledgeable music lover who enjoyed spending time with a wide circle of friends and family. A celebration of his life is being held at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 20900 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, at 11 a.m., Saturday April 30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, St. Margaret's Episcopal Church or St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
