Sue Evans Dancer, 74, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born Vera Sue Burgess March 27, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Doss and Audrey Burgess. After her mother died at an early age, she was adopted by Dave and Dora Snyder Evans. Sue was reared and received her early education in Marianna, graduating from Marianna High School. After working in banks in Marianna and Dumas, she moved to Pine Bluff. Sue sold real estate in Pine Bluff for many years. She enjoyed reading, painting and playing the piano. Sue was preceded in death by her biological and adoptive parents and an infant son, Robert Curtis. Survivors include her husband, Jason Dancer; two daughters, Charlotte (David) Gasaway of Dumas and Jamie (Drew) Clem of Benton; two sons, Jason Dancer II of Pine Bluff and David (Lisa) Dancer of Tyler, Texas; two brothers, Dennis and Jerry Burgess, both of Jackson, Tennessee; a half-sister, Sharon Leon Burgess of Conway; 10 grandchildren, Charla, Laurie, Cara, Scott, Dustin, Anna Beth, Emily, Abbey, Jason, III and Jimmy; and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Bill Kiggins officiating.
