Alice Marie Tiney Edwards, 87, of Sandy, Utah, departed this life on August 1, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas on December 25, 1928 to the late William Woody Tiney and Annie Freeman Tiney. She was a long time resident of Cabot, Arkansas, and spent her last 10 years in Sandy, Utah with her son, Bill, and his family. Alice graduated as Valedictorian from Jacksonville High School in 1947. She was a waitress and bookkeeper for her parents business, and she owned/operated the Hickory Pit Drive In Restaurant, before beginning her career with the Arkansas Department of Human Services, from which she retired in 1997. She was very quick-witted, an avid reader, and she loved yard work. Alice loved her family and worked hard to provide for them. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert M. Moyers, Clarence Morphew, and Gordon Edwards; and a grandson, Doug Moyers. She is survived by two sons, Bob Moyers (Sharon) of Cabot; Bill Moyers (Susan) of Sandy, Utah; daughter, Sharolyn Morphew of Sandy, Utah; sister, Florence Burnett of Jacksonville; brother, Bob Tiney (Kathy) of Farmington, Utah; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one aunt; several cousins, including one special cousin, Virginia White of England; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jacksonville, with service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Mt.
