Regina "Gini" Lile Roland, 69, of Conway, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016, in Little Rock at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock after a brief but valiant struggle with cancer. Gini was born October 18, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ray Louise Wilson Lile and John Gardner Lile. Gini is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Lile Roland Harbison and Casey Harbison of Little Rock and Erin Felice Roland Haynes and Lawrence "Sunny" Haynes of Conway. She is also survived by four beloved grandchildren, who adored their Gigi: Will Harbison, Etta Haynes, Anna Ray Haynes, and Anna Margaret Harbison. Also surviving are Gini's older siblings, Sue Lile Inman and husband Sam M. Inman of Greenville, S.C., and John Gardner Lile III and wife Pat McGill Lile of Little Rock; her brother-in-law, Douglas Roland and wife Rose Marie of Tuscon, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Sara Felice Bond and husband Tom Bond of Williamsburg, VA; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Frank Warren Roland of Conway. Gini received her BA degree from Hendrix College (1968). She served as an acquisitions librarian at Hendrix College from 1993 until her retirement in June 2013. At tax time for years she worked for CPA Francis B. Reynolds. For a number of years she was also self-employed typing theses and dissertations. All her family and friends will miss Gini's gentle, intuitive, loving spirit. She passed on to her children and grandchildren her keen observations and of nature, her love of reading and of animals. Her beautiful, uncluttered home reflected her caring and artistry. She leaves behind her miniature poodles, Sukey and Sally. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 5, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, 801 8th Avenue, Conway, (501) 327-7727. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1610 Prince Street, Conway, 72034. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Humane Society of America, the World Wildlife Fund, Heifer International, or Arkansas Hospice, or a charity of one's choice.
