Bonnie Lou Rowton, age 74, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016. She was born on March 15, 1942 in Norman, the daughter of Ezra Hill and Alma Songer Hill. On June 9, 1961 she married James E. Rowton. She was preceded in death by her father, Ezra Hill; her mother, Alma Capshaw and one sister, Donnie Timbs. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James E. Rowton of Hot Springs; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry and Jennifer Rowton and David Rowton, all of Hot Springs; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tina Rowton of Maumelle and Lisa and Eddy Slick of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Grace Slick, Clay Slick, Eli Rowton, Sierra Rowton, Ethan Sutton and Shena and Nathan Sanders; one great-grandson, Hunter Denton; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Billy Capshaw and Dewayne Capshaw, both of Hot Springs and Jimmy and Linda Hill of Tennessee; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Peggy Graham of Hot Springs, Sharon and Doug Davis of Poyen and Debra George of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Jimmie Scott officiating. Interment will be in the Gaston Cemetery near Mount Ida. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Sunday evening. Pallbearers will be Eddy Slick, Ethan Sutton, Jesse Slick, Matt Carter, Ryan Richardson and Chris Meseke.
