Dr. Earl Douglas Jessup, 66 of Bentonville, Ark., passed away August 8, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born August 18, 1949 in Beckley, W.Va., the son of Odell and Ethel Jessup. Dr. Jessup was the founder and director of Baptist Church Planting Ministry. He helped churches reproduce more than 170 Independent Baptist Churches throughout the United States and Canada and around the world. He is preceded in death by four grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Beth Jessup of the home; five children, Crystal Miller and husband Steve of Pleasant Prairie, Wis.; Jay Jessup and wife Susie of Greenbrier, Tenn.; Susanna Owen and husband Danny of Centerton, Ark.; Rachel Viers and husband James of Albion, Iowa; Joel Jessup and wife Kerstin of Marshalltown, Iowa; 17 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark. A celebration of Dr Earl Jessup's life will be at 2 p.m. Friday; August 12, 2016, at Grace Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark. Interment will follow in the Bentonville Cemetery, Bentonville, Ark.
