Lloyd Hurley of Ward departed this world on August 8, 2016. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, United States Air Force, and Air National Guard. He fought during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Lloyd retired from the Air National Guard as Sr. Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Cabot and Wattensaw Masonic lodges. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nelda (Ballard) Hurley; three children, Pam (Ricky) Crabtrey of Ward, Kim (Mark) Graham of Huntsville and Steve Hurley of Ward; three grandchildren, Michelle Crabtrey of Ward, Elizabeth Graham of Little Rock and Corporal Jeff Graham of Cherry Point, North Carolina; two sisters, Alene Perddun and Kathene (Ed) Gorman all of Brighten, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ina Hurley and one brother, Gordon Hurley. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Smith - Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral Service will be Friday August 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Country Chapel Church, Sylvania with burial to follow in Sylvania Cemetery.
