Doris Rebecca Coney

Doris Rebecca Coney, 94, of Maumelle went to be with her Lord on August 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1993 after 54 years of marriage; two sisters, Irene Burnett and Frances Spradlin; and two brothers, Robert Heflin and Beau Heflin. Doris is survived by three sons, Douglas Sr., Edward (Martha), and Gary (Shirley); five grandsons, Douglas Jr., (Dyana), Todd (Tina), Steven (Marilyn), Scott, and Jeff (Sammi); granddaughter, Paige Keene (Jeff); nine great-grandchildren, Logan, Abbie, Addison, Brent, Cris, Garrison, Dylan, Brenden and Ewan; and four great-great-grandchildren, Adayln, Griffin, Collier and Becket. She cherished all of her extended family members. She took particular comfort in Psalms 19:14: "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." She was a devout member of Maumelle's First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School there for many years.
