Kenneth Butler Ives

Kenneth Butler Ives of Rogers died on August 12, 2016. He was born on September 19, 1921 in Kiowa County, Colorado to the late William and Ella Ives. Ken was a veteran of WWII, where he served in the Army Air Corps. On October 18, 1953, he married Lorna Lee White and was her loving husband for the rest of his life. In his years of government service he was an aerospace quality control specialist. He retired with 30 years of service. Ken was a charter member of the First United Methodist Church of Rogers, a member of Wichita Masonic Lodge #99, and a member of the York Rite in Ogden, Utah. He is survived by his beloved wife; daughters, Mary Gregg (David) of Camarillo, California, Lori Wells (Bill) of Duluth, Minnesota; and grandchildren, Rebecca Gregg, and Nathan and Michelle Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Clara Uhland, Lois Sutton, Dorris Hartmann, William Ives; and granddaughter, Bryna Michelle Wells. A celebration of Ken's life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Rogers at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 18. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
