Arthur Rodgers

Minister Arthur L. Rodgers 67, of Pine Bluff passed away on August 15, 2016. He was born March 27, 1949 to the late George Rodgers, Sr and DeEster Blue Rodgers. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and later united with Unity Temple COGIC, where he served as minister, musician and in the Sunday School department faithfully until his death. On December 21, 1981 he married the love of his life-Ruthie Haynie of Pine Bluff. Minister Rodgers served 38 years in public service at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff's police department. Minister Rodgers was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a daughter. He is survived by his beloved wife,Ruthie Haynie Rodgers, children, Jarvis, Byron, Christopher, Lisa, Andrea, Kimberly, and Catina; Siblings, George Jr., Homer, Luther, Ralph, Chester, Will, Deola, Equata, Florine, and Rose and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 20, 2016 at 1 p.m. at First Trinity COGIC in Pine Bluff. Visitation will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 5-7 p.m. at Unity Temple COGIC in Pine Bluff.
