James Theron Lilly

James Theron Lilly, 81, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born November 10, 1934 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Charlie C. Lilly and Maggie Riddling Lilly. He was a graduate of England High School and after high school he attended UALR. He was a man of integrity and served proudly in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. James was recruited as a pitcher for the Pittsburg Pirates in 1957. He was retired from Timex after 38 years. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and his grandsons were his life. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 47 years Rosemary Treat Lilly. He is survived by his sons Brooks and Charlie Lilly; daughter Jamie Lilly all of Little Rock; sister Perline George; grandsons Cassius Taylor, Charlie P. Lilly; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
