Ted E. Ashcraft

Ted E. Ashcraft, M.D. died August 16, 2016 at his home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ted was born in Little Rock, Arkansas; November 22, 1933 to Theo and Susie Ashcraft. He graduated from Conway High School in 1951. After high school he served from 1953-1956 in the United States Air Force. He was a proud member of the Air Force Academy Band and a lifelong music enthusiast. He attended University of Central Arkansas and Hendrix College before graduating from the University of Arkansas Medical School in 1962. He went into private practice in 1964 in Russellville, Arkansas, and opened Ashcraft Medical Clinic which served the community from 1974 to 2004. He was Board Certified in Family Practice and Addiction Medicine. Ted was a member of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church and was dedicated to supporting Camp Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyne; one son, Teddy Ashcraft and wife Brooks; step-daughter Erin Gardner, husband Brandon Flammang; step-daughter Marice Greenberg, and one beloved grandchild; a brother, Dr. D.W. Ashcraft and wife Sandra; one niece, Shannon King and husband Dr. Mike King and children. Per Ted's instruction, Reverend Lowell Grisham will hold a private gathering to inter his ashes at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church at 224 N. East Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that a donation be made to Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, P.O.
