Roy Utah Goodman, 89, of Morrilton, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. He was born March 3, 1927 in Dell, Ark., the son of Roy Lee and Lena Lucilla "Alley" Goodman. Roy served his country honorably at the end of WWII in Japan and also was stationed in Korea during that conflict. He retired from the Air Force after twenty one years. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, DAV, and retired Enlisted Association. He was the founder of ADEC Automotive Electrical Repair Shop in Overcup, Ark. He was passionate about flying and a licensed pilot. He was a member of Lonoke Baptist and loved his Church family. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Julia Marie Parish Goodman; his children, Jimmie (Mary) Goodman of Plumerville, Mike (Paulette) Goodman of Jacksonville, Linda (Jack) Patterson of Greenbrier, and Harold Wayne Goodman of Plumerville; grandchildren, Tamara Herndon (Brian), Mark (Sue) Goodman, Amy (Kevin) Barley, Jonathan (Tara) Goodman, and Anthony (Shannon) Goodman; great-grandchildren, Cody Barley, Cassidy Barley, Luke Goodman, and Aubrey Goodman; brothers, Bobby Goodman, R.J. Goodman, Sammy Goodman, and Jackie Goodman; sisters, Dorothy Sue Franklin and Shirley Franklin. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, at Lonoke Baptist Church with Bro. Craig Duncan and Bro. Matt Griffin officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to say a special thank you to Joy Hill "our other daughter" and the loyal customers of ADEC Rebuilders.
