Leonard Donald Jones

Leonard Donald Jones, 80, of Hot Springs, died August 22, 2016. Born January 8, 1936 in Scranton, Arkansas, he was the son of Luther and Gladys Funkhouser Jones. He graduated from Fuller High School in 1953. He was a member of First Christian Church in Hot Springs, a member of the Masonic Order, Staff Sergeant with the Air National Guard for 9 years and enjoyed working in his workshop and singing in the choir. He retired as supervisor over dragline from Reynolds Mining Company after 22 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Henderson Jones; daughter, Carol George and her husband, Dennis; sister, Phyllis Gail Lowrey; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three nephews, and one niece. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Ark. 72002 (501) 455-1067 with Donald Naftz officiating.
