Larry Jay Stone
Larry Jay Stone, age 68, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. He was born on November 16, 1947 in Nashville, Arkansas to the late Pete and Ruffie Lee Copeland Stone.
Larry was a 1965 graduate of Nashville High School and an honor graduate from the University of Arkansas with a Master's degree in civil engineering. He continued doctoral work at the University of Houston. He founded his engineering firm first in Longview, Texas and then expanded into Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Patricia Hardin Stone; sons, Jeremy Stone (Amy) of Hot Springs and Matthew Stone (Mandi) of Mineral Springs; three grandchildren, Conner, Jackson, and Reagan Stone; sister, Linda Jones (Herschel) of Cotton Valley, Louisiana; as well as a number of family members and friends.
A graveside celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Restland Memorial Park in Nashville, Arkansas with Marty Quinn officiating. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Caring Place (101 Quapaw Avenue, Hot Springs, Ark. 71901), or Garvan Woodland Gardens (550 Arkridge Road, Hot Springs, Ark. 71913).
