Lonnie Williams

Lonnie Charles "Sonnie" Williams, transitioned from this earthly plane on August 26, 2016. He was born August 23, 1946 to Ethel Williams and Lonnie C. Grissom. He was baptized at an early age at Ward Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Lonnie was employed with the U.S. Postal service as a mail carrier prior to retiring. He was the mail carrier for England, AR for the majority of his service with the Post Office. He was employed as a security officer at the Arkansas Orthopedic Clinic at the time of his passing. He leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Leonard Wayne Cornice; Gary (Rosalind) Williams; daughter, Lakita Patterson; step-daughter, Tonya Sadler; siblings, Robert (Carolyn) Williams, B.J. Bone' (Angela; niece), Carolyn Torrence; Rev. John T. (Tina) Grissom; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and grandchildren; and close friend Billy Jordan. The family is most appreciative for the care given by St. Vincent Hospital I.C.U. Little Rock, Ark., most notably Dr. Karen Searcy and Nurse "Kajsa". Family hour will be Friday September 2, from 7:30 til 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Celebration of Life services will be Saturday 10 a.m. at Ward Chapel AME Church, 13th & Hanger St., Little Rock, Ark. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S.
