John Lewis Bess

John Lewis Bess, 73, passed away November 18, 2016. He was born on December 14, 1942 in Pittsburg, Pa. to Jasper and Marie Bess. John loved to visit with his children and grandchildren. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a masters in Special Education and Administration. John was an antique car, hot rod car, music and Ham Radio enthusiast. John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; Dottie Bess, three children; Lisa Yancey, Jan Steward (Sean), Sean Bess (Corie), two step-children; Scott Laster (Stacy), Jay Laster (Jeannie), thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in John's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.
