BILLY HACKETT, 89 of Little Rock, Ark., passed away on Nov. 29, 2016. He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Barnett Dennis; son, Sammy Hackett; three sisters, Doris Perry (Calvin), Olar Scott (Frank) and Sarah Robinson (William); and four brothers, Herbert Hackett, James Hackett, Freddie Stewart (Faye) and Arlander Hightower (Mona). He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Mamie Pearl Hackett; one daughter, Shirley Mason-Yeargin (Scott); four sons. Billy (Murile), Herbert, Kevin Christopher (Rochelle) and Reginald; three brothers, Larry Hightower (Goonchoo), San Jose, Calif., Adell Barnett (Nancy), Oakland, Calif., and Roosevelt Barnett (Betty), Little Rock; one sister, Joy B. Branch, Oakland, Calif., and a host of relatives and friends. Home going services will be Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, 11 a.m., at Theressa Hoover United Methodist, 4000 West 13th Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will at Elmlawn Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. LR (501) 372-1305.
