Jean Anne Alvano Pope

Jean Anne Alvano Pope, 61, of Bossier City, passed on Dec. 6th 2016 in Shreveport, La. Visitation will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4700 Palmetto Road, Benton, La., on Sunday, December 11th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. A celebratory mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church on Monday December 12th at 11 a.m. with Father Pike Thomas officiating. Jean was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Michael and Donabelle Alvano on February 5th 1955. She graduated in 1973 from Bishop Heelan Catholic School. Shortly after moving to Bossier City, she married her sweetheart in 1979. Her greatest achievement was raising her three children at home. Jean was very active within her children's school and church communities. She had a deep love and commitment to her faith, a passion for running and loved being outdoors. Jean is preceded in death by her father Michael Alvano, mother Donabelle Jordan Alvano and twin sister, Janice Alvano Holton. Jean is survived by her husband, Patrick of Bossier City. Her children, Michael, Jennifer and John. Her brothers Michael, Carl and Tim and her sister, Patsy. In remembrance of Jean, donations may be under her name to St. Jude Catholic Church.
