Virginia Carter

Virginia Carter, 92, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on December 9, 2016. Born September 30, 1924 to the late George and Ena Roberts, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was known as a skilled seamstress and cook, and had a green thumb. She was also a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Nesbitt A. Carter, and her son, Harold Carter. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Leon Carter of Mabelvale; daughter, Barbara (Bobby) Summerville of Mabelvale; grandchildren, Stefanie (Chris) Davis of Alexander, Kristen (Larry) Thomas of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Kim (Frank) Stanage of San Antonio, Robby (April) Golden of Little Rock, Tony (Angel) Taylor of Spartanburg, South Carolina, three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. Her celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5. N, Alexander, Ark. 72002.
