Jo Ann Townley

Jo Ann Johnson Townley of Crossett, Ark. passed away on December 12, 2016 at Stonegate Villa Health & Rehab. She was born on June 5, 1933 in Crossett, Ark. to her parents David and Mary Francis Davis Johnson. Jo Ann was a homemaker. She enjoyed her garden, going to Branson and spending time with her family. Mrs. Townley was a member of Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Belton "Dugan" Townley; a son, Jack David Townley; brothers, Bert Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Harold Ray Johnson; and a sister, Margie Russell. Survivors include two sons, Ricky Townley, Randy Townley (Luanne), both of Crossett, Ark.; a daughter, Kimberly Stratton (Joe) of El Dorado, Ark.; four brothers, Johnny Mack Johnson of Crossett, Ark.; David Johnson of Little Rock, Ark., Jimmy Johnson of Bryant, Ark.; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Ray Hearron officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Jarvis Chapel Baptist Church.
