Betty Sullenberger Whaley Jagoditsh, 90, of Hot Springs passed away Thursday December 15, 2016. She was born September 27, 1926 in Camden, Arkansas, to the late David Edward and Ida Holland Sullenberger. Betty was a lifelong Methodist and was a member of First United Methodist Church and also a member of the Hot Springs Bridge House. She was predeceased by her husbands, Dr. Clyde Hill Whaley and Russel F. Jagoditsh; sisters, Mary Emma Hess and Jo Umsted; and brothers, David Edward, Maurice, Neil and Dr. A.G. Sullenberger. Survivors include her daughters, Kathryn Whaley Searcy of Little Rock, Mary Jo Whaley Scott and husband Dr. Steve Scott of El Dorado, and Fran Jagoditsh Hein and husband Steve Hein of Longmont, Colo.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Holland Searcy and husband Reverend Daniel Cooperrider of Cornwall, Vt.; grandsons, Dr. John Clay Scott and Michael Collins Scott both of Little Rock, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and their children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday December 17, at the First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs with The Reverend David Moseley officiating. Burial will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday in the Greenwood Cemetery in Camden, Ark. Pallbearers will be Steve Scott, John Scott, Collins Scott, Brad Sullenberger, Steve Sullenberger, and Mark Shoemaker. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Cooperrider and Steve Hein.
