Imogene Bryant Johnson

Imogene Bryant Johnson, 89, of Sheridan formerly of Dumas passed away December 14, 2016 in Malvern. She was born on July 12, 1927 in Yell County the daughter of the late Grover and Gertie Miller Bryant. Member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Dumas, former employee of Dan Tan and Sunbeam and a homemaker. Her two brothers, Bueal and Bud Bryant, four sisters, Lois Kitchens, Violet Morrow, Nettie Leach DePriest and Helen Coleman preceded her in death. Survivors are a son, Jimmie (Sue) Johnson of Alexander and a daughter, Dianne (Mike) Self of Monticello, two grandchildren, Shannon Hindsley and Aaron McMahan and four great grandchildren, Ryan Bitely, Madison Bitely, Drake McMahan and Kaitlyn McMahan. Visitation and services both will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Griffin Funeral Home, the visitation will start at 10AM until service time at 11 a.m., Rev. Ben White will be officiating and burial will follow in Watson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 S.E. 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, Florida 33131.
