Carol Frances Hinton

CAROL FRANCIS HINTON, age 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 in Little Rock, Ark. She was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Bokoshe, Okla., to Manuel and Helen Hendrix. As a child, she traveled to California for work with her family as a result of the Great Depression. Due to her father's health, they returned to Oklahoma after WWII where she later met her former husband, Don. She shared many happy memories of her childhood. After caring for family, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she retired after 20 years of service. She enjoyed quilts, estate sale hunting, and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Helen Hendrix, sisters Arthula Blakely and Vadena Lunsford, her former husband Donovan Dale Hinton, and son Donovan Dale Hinton Jr. She is survived by her daughter Diana Marlow and husband Michael, granddaughter Rachel Marlow and husband Matthew Balcerak, sister Veloise Moon, and brother David Hinton. The family would like to thank Pulaski Heights Methodist Church Caring Ministry and Hospice Home Care on Bowman Road.
