Charles William Chlapecka

Charles William Chlapecka, 75, of Stuttgart passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at Baptist Health-Little Rock. Charles was born April 8, 1941, in Slovak to John and Mary Marek Chlapecka. He was a Hazen High School graduate and member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He was a hard-working, life-long farmer; loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rudy Chlapecka; and a sister, Lucille House. Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Dianne Smith Chlapecka; daughter, Kerri Chlapecka Dudeck (the late Pat Dudeck) of Heber Springs; son, John Chlapecka and wife Jamie of Stuttgart; two sisters, Marilyn Cox of Lonoke and Lorene Roberts of Chicago; sister-in-law, Geneva Chlapecka of Slovak; and seven grandchildren, Lauren, Seth and Rowe Dudeck, Landon and Ava Chlapecka, Jacobe Tipton and Josh Hambrick. A memorial service, officiated by Bro. Tommy Tombs, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
