Ada Louise DeRossitt Fletcher

Mrs. Ada Louise DeRossitt Fletcher, affectionately know both as Sita and as Meme by those who loved her passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the early morning of Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 in Forrest City, Ark. Sita was born on July 12, 1928 in Forrest City, where she lived most of her life. Her family roots were firmly planted in Forrest City and St. Francis County. Family was the most important thing in her life. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, William Clayborn Fletcher Jr.; her parents, James P. and Louise Alderson DeRossitt; her brother, Prentice DeRossitt; two sisters, Betty Allyne DeRossitt and Martha Ann Marks. Sita is survived by her sister, Frances Edens; her four children, Fran Shannon and husband Phil, Clay Fletcher and wife Nancy, Betty Eldridge and husband David and Brice Fletcher and wife Sonya; her seven grandchildren, Casey, Katie, Clabe, Christopher, Emily, Klint and Jules; and her four great-grandchildren, Henry, Harrison, Ada Claire and Graham. Sita was well known in Forrest City for her long time career at First National Bank of Eastern Ark. She was a member and ruling Elder of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she was very active in the church and in Presbytery of Ark. activities. A funeral service celebrating Sita's life will be held at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. with visitation to follow in Pettus Hall. A private family burial service will be held. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church, 402 Dillard, Forrest City, Ark. 72335 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
