Daniel Newton Young, 41, of White Hall, Arkansas, defeated ALS and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 18, 2016, with family by his side. He was born May 1, 1975, in Pine Bluff, to Roger and Mary Peabody Young. Daniel was reared and educated in Stuttgart, graduating from Stuttgart High School in 1993. He also graduated from ASU in 1998 with a Bachelor Degree in AG Business. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, serving as President in 1996 and 1997. He had worked as the manager of GreenPoint AG in Humphrey, before becoming disabled in 2015. He was an avid hunter and duck guide, working as the Coordinator for W & Y Guide Service and King Bayou Outfitters on their family farm in Humphrey for 20 plus years. Daniel was a member of New Harvest Church of God and once he met you, he never forgot you and you became as family. He loved life and was full of fun, being an example of devotion to serving his community, co-workers, Wounded Warriors Project, being involved in all his children's activities and their friend's activities as well. Not only did Daniel touch the lives he was around but his life was touched by all that met him. He was preceded in death by an infant brother; grandparents, Newton and Jane Young, C. M. and Gloria Peabody and Dale Welch. Survivors include his wife, Courtney Robertson Young, whom he married on January 17, 2004, in Redfield; daughters, Maggie Barber "Princess" and Marlie Belle Young "Punkin", both of White Hall; his parents, Mary and Tommy Welch of Humphrey; father, Roger Young (Charlotte) of DeWitt; a sister, Michelle Dubar (Paul) of White Hall; a brother, Eric Young of DeWitt; a grandmother, Myrtle Welch of Stuttgart and a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored. A special thanks to Arkansas Hospice, Hospice Home Care, Ms. Robbie Keaton, ALS in Wonderland and the ALS Association, MDA Foundation and the wonderful team at UAMS Department of Neuroscience. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Robinson's. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2017, New Harvest Church of God with Reverend Travis Creekmore officiating.
