Karen Rose Alaniz, 63, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. She was born March 19, 1953 in Marshall, Arkansas to Glen Wood and Bethel (Paxton) Branscum. She worked for the Department of Human Services in both Benton and Washington county for over 27 years and had a passion for the families she served. Above all, Karen was a meek and humble wife, mother and grandmother that cherished her family. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, John Alaniz, of the home; one daughter, Deanna Miranda and husband, Justin of Anderson, Mo.; one sister, Lorna Beach and husband, Buster of Clinton, Ark.; three brothers, Luther Branscum and wife, Janice of Leslie, Ark., Robert Branscum and wife, Treva of Damascus, Ark., John Branscum and wife, Kay of Leslie; two grandchildren, Addison and Brennan Miranda of Anderson and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Luther Branscum officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
