Phyllis Morris

Mrs. Phyllis Smart Morris of Jonesboro passed away December 21, 2016 at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge at the of 86. She was born to Alfred David and Edna Davis Smart on September 19, 1930 in Xenia, Ohio. Mrs. Morris was of the Methodist belief and worked as an RN. She loved gardening, animals and fishing. Mrs. Morris is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Damon Morris; her parents; a son, R. T. David Morris; and a daughter, Bonnie Elaine Morris Yarbro. Survivors include her son, Michael and Christine Morris of Louisiana; a daughter, Julie Goodwin; grandchildren, Shelley and Jarrod Lassiter, David Morris, Nicholas Morris, Taylor Morris, Nathan Goodwin and Ryan Goodwin; and a sister, Bessie Edna Smart of Baton Rouge, La.
