Wilhelmina Louise Daniels

Wilhelmina Daniels, "Willie" to her friends, 92, passed away peacefully, December 15, 2016, resident at Brookfield Assisted Living. Wilhelmina was born January 20, 1924 in New Orleans, La., to Josephine and Gustov Jastram. Wilhelmina was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Coast Guard, also known as a Spar. She spent most of her life in Alaska, where she raised her family as a mother and grandmother, enjoyed life outdoors including her amazing flower gardens and cabin, and spent countless hours volunteering at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Glen (he passed away three nights before on December 12), and Chris, her youngest daughter in 2010. Wilhelmina is survived by her two children, Glen Jr. and wife, Paula, and daughter Diane and husband, Ron; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; in addition to countless friends.
