Bertha Mae Smith

Bertha Mae Dobbs Smith, age 86, of Benton passed away Monday, December 26, 2016. Bertha Mae was born June 10, 1930 to Orville and Pauline Dobbs of Benton. She was retired from Alcoa with 35 years, a Charter member of First Christian Church and a member of Northside Church of Christ of Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jimmy Smith. Survivors include daughter, Deborah Smith, of Benton; a brother, Charles Perry Dobbs and wife Betsy, of Maryland and their two daughters, also two sisters-in-law, Patsy Steele and Pam Newcomb, two brothers-in-law, Robert "Bob" Smith and Ronnie Mac Smith and their families. A special thank you to Saline Memorial Hospital, Dr. Daniel Cartaya and Saline Memorial Hospice. A memorial service was held Wednesday December 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Old Rosemont Cemetery with Bro.
