Bernice Coltrain Waggoner

Bernice Coltrain Waggoner, 79, of Cabot died Friday, December 30, 2016. She was born July 12, 1937 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late Jake and Evelyn Murphy Coltrain. Mrs. Waggoner worked in the cafeteria at the Portsmouth, Virginia High School. She moved to Cabot in 2006 and enjoyed league bowling at Allfam Bowling Center, cooking, baking and bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waggoner was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Jones Waggoner, Sr. and two sisters, Louise Justice and Sylvia Cotturone. Mrs. Waggoner is survived by her children, Jack Jones Waggoner, Jr. (Shelly) of Herdford, North Carolina and Nancy W. Hodges (Scooter) of Cabot; grandchildren, Jessie Hodges (Whitney) of Ward, Cory Waggoner (Eroica) of Austin and Jackie Evans of Jacksonville, North Carolina; great grandchildren, Allie Hodges of Ward, Caleb Waggoner of Austin, Jackson Waggoner of Cabot, Joseph Evans and Jacob Evans, both of Washington and her brother, Billy Coltrain of Chesapeake, Virginia.
