Michael Paul Scheafbauer, 92, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born February 15, 1924 in Herreid, South Dakota to Michael and Margret Scheafbauer, the 4th of 11 children. Preceded in death by his wife of 71 years in April. He has three children: Sally Wolfe, David Scheafbauer and Paul Scheafbauer who blessed him with eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He attended South Dakota State University, in their Electrical Engineering program, until entering the Navy in 1942. He serviced on the USS Randolph (CV-15 Air Craft Carrier) in the Pacific Theater throughout the war. After the War, he worked as an Electrician for the Milwaukee RR in Mobridge South Dakota and then in Savanna, Illinois for 10 years. In 1957 he moved his Family to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked for the Louis – Allis Company in various Engineering and Sales positions. In 1997 he and Marcella moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was the consummate Handyman and Gardener. He had a tool for every task and willing lent them out along with his expertise. He enjoyed doing projects for his Children all over the country and golfing. He and Marcella were considered excellent dancers. A Rosary service will be held at 9:30 a.m., December 31st at St Bernard Catholic Church followed by a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Memorials, may be made in his honor to: Circle of Life Hospice Home (1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville Ark. 72712).
