Benjamin "Franklin" Lambert

Benjamin "Franklin" Lambert, age 88, of Evans, Georgia went to be with his Savior Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Georgia He was born October 17, 1927 in Vimy Ridge, Arkansas, the son of the late Herman Lambert and Bernice Sanders Lambert. Mr. Lambert served in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Geological Survey where he worked as a Water Resources Supervisor. He was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Mr. Lambert is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lucille Spann Lambert; sons, Benjamin Franklin Lambert, Jr. and Steven Bruce Lambert; brother, Travis Lambert; and sisters, Louise Yerino and Georgia Marcelle Vestal. Left to cherish his memory, wife, Wanda Butler Cato Lambert of Evans, Georgia; sons, Roger Lambert of Vimy Ridge and Danny Ray (Millie) Cato of Mexico, Missouri; daughters, Cindy (Bob) Bradford of Sheridan and Debbie Cato Mitchell of Evans, Georgia; daughters-in-law, Sue Lambert Parrish and Sherry Lambert; grandchildren, Alex (Natalie) Bradford, Calley Bradford, Kelly Lambert, Sarah Lambert, Beth (Trevor) Allen, Blake (Samantha) Lambert, Evan (Angela) Mitchell, and Mike Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Emma Clair Bradford, Benjamin Lambert, Cate and Cedar Allen, Roy, Morgan, Bryson, Madison, Bellamy, and Mikenzie Mitchell. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock with Brother Bob Wiegel, Brother Charles Law, and Brother Ron Parrish officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at McPherson Cemetery in Sardis. Pallbearers are Alex Bradford, Blake Lambert, Trevor Allen, Ron Parrish, Randy Davenport, and Dale Almond. Honorary pallbearers are Don Orendor, family Deacon and Faith Missionary Baptist Fellowship Class. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
