Shirley Ellis Hicks Shipman

Shirley Ellis Hicks Shipman, age 78, of Helena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Shipman was born September 25, 1937 at Osceola, Arkansas to the late Graham "Dude" and Ruth Ellis. She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Jo Hicks Goode and Jamie Hicks Woodyard (Joe); grandchildren, Heather Carter Whaley, Melanie Carter Green, Hillary Carter Miller, Melissa Carter Siler, Micah Goode, Amiee Hicks Spradlin and Robert Wood "Beau" Hicks, III; and great-grandchildren, Ellis Ann Whaley, Garrett Green, Greer Green, Lucy Green, Blair Miller, Cruz Miller, Whit Miller and Zander Siler. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Wood "Bob" Hicks Jr.; husband, Robert "Bob" Hicks Sr.; and husband, Brother Charles Shipman. A service for Shirley Shipman will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Second Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Wade McCarley and Brother Randy Williams will officiate.
