Marie "Grannie Ree" Dodson

Marie "Granny Ree" Dodson, 94, of Bentonville passed away Feb. 3, 2016 in Bentonville. She was born Dec. 5, 1921 in Bentonville the daughter of John and Anna Glenn Anthony. Marie worked in the ticket office for Wal-Mart, and attended Harbor of Praise Church in Bentonville and a VFW Auxiliary member. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, making pies, going to flea markets and garage sales. She is preceded in death by her husband James Hillard Dodson; her brother Almond Dodson and two sisters Audy Kreger and Nellie Red. She is survived by her son Rick Dodson of Bentonville; three grandchildren Shelli Piha and husband Aaron; Missi Brooks and husband Zeke and Austyn Dodson; great grandchildren Ethan and Kali Piha, Derik and Kai Brooks. Memorial services 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's or Circle of Life Hospice.
