Marilyn (Kirby) French, 80, Rogers, Ark., formerly of Neosho, died Feb. 3, 2016. She was born May 27, 1935 in Rogers, Ark. to the late M. F. and Mary ‘Billie' (Goodloe) Kirby. Marilyn grew up in Rogers and Neosho and graduated from Neosho High School and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was active in her church and served in numerous capacities over the years. She was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert H. French; one son, John French and wife, Jil of Denton, Texas; one daughter, Mary Keely Jones and husband, Marcus of Rogers, Ark. and one sister, Wanda Pierce of Andover, Kan. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marvin Kirby. Services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho with Pastor Richard Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Mo.
