James Edward Murphy

James Edward Murphy, 64, of Sherwood passed away on February 7, 2016. He was born in Little Rock on November 8, 1951. He later moved to Sherwood, Ark. Jim had a passion for all sports, especially golf. He won many golf tournaments including the North Hills Country Club Championship three years in a row. Jim set many records including a 59 at North Hills Country Club. He was preceded in death by his father; Dr. James E. Murphy. Survivors include his mother; Dorothy Day Murphy and his brother; Mike Murphy, both of Hot Springs, Arkansas. A graveside service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory. (501) 982-2136.
