Nathalee Witt

Nathalee Witt, age 97, died February 13, 2016 at Southridge Assisted Living in Heber Springs, Arkansas. She was born August 30, 1918 in Enola, Arkansas to Ellis and Lessie Melton. She graduated from Centerville High School in 1936. Nathalee spent most of her life in Quitman, Arkansas working for the United States Postal Service as a clerk and rural mail carrier. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Nathalee was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert L. Witt; brother, Ellis Melton; and sister-in-law, Louise Melton. She is survived by one son, Robert and his wife, Cynthia, of Heber Springs; one grandson, Robert of Heber Springs; one niece and two nephews. A special thanks to Southridge Assisted Living for the loving care they gave her during her stay there. Memorials may be made to the Quitman Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. At her request the body will be cremated. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Quitman Cemetery.
