Hubert Monroe Halford

Hubert Monroe Halford passed away February 17th 2016 at his home in Dumas. He was born on January 2nd, 1938 to the late Annie and Louie Halford, as the last of 10 children. He graduated from Devalls Bluff High School in 1956, and spent almost his entire professional life in the grocery business as a manager in Kansas City for nearly 20 years for A&P foods, and then as an owner of two independent IGA stores until his retirement in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Artie Ayecock Halford; Children Gerry Padgett (Tammy), Greg Halford (Barbara), Debbie Selvidge (Scott), Guy Teeter (Jana), and Susan Fleming (Glen). He is also survived by one sister, Lois Langley, 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and many friends and golfing buddies. He was predeceased by 8 siblings, and wives, Margaret Halford and Nell Padgett. Visitation will be at noon Saturday followed by graveside services at 1 p.m. at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 7724 Landers road, North Little Rock.
