Brent Michael Hutchins

Brent Michael Hutchins ended his journey here on earth Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the age of 32. Brent was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas on March 29, 1983. He graduated from North Pulaski High School in 2001. He was a licensed electrician and licensed elevator mechanic. He was also a member of the Cabot/Jacksonville Delta Waterfowl Chapter. Brent worked as an elevator mechanic for Schindler Elevators and was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local 79 and took office in January as IUEC-79 Board of Trustees. Brent's two children were his prized possessions. He helped coach their sport teams, took them hunting, fishing and riding four-wheelers. Brent was an avid outdoorsman. There was not a season he would miss, you name it he hunted it. He also loved to fish and bow fish. Brent had a big heart and even bigger personality that lit up a room when he entered it. He was a man of many words and is often remembered for his stories. Brent was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, nephew and friend. He was always there to help with a smile on his face. Brent's spirit lives on in his beloved wife, Christy Hutchins and their two children, Maeley Hutchins and Jackie "JT" Hutchins of Jacksonville; parents, Michael and Debbie Hutchins of Jacksonville; sister, Brooke (Jody) Spears of Lonoke; grandfather, Thomas Moody of Cabot; grandparents, Judy and Henry Riggin, of Jacksonville; aunt, Carol (Tom) Bowen of Jacksonville; uncle, Mark (Kelly) Hutchins of Conway; uncle Mark (Yvonne) Holt of Mayflower; great-grandparents, Mary and J.C. Hardcastle of Jacksonville and countless extended family members and friends. Waiting for him at the pearly gates with open arms was his grandmother, Monelle Moody, his grandfather, Jackie Hutchins; great-grandparents, Granny and Papaw Whitfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cabot/Jacksonville Delta Waterfowl Chapter, c/o Dave Nydegger, 6205 Navajo Trail, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116, 501-804-3950 for credit card payments. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
