Wallace Bennett Tracy

Wallace Bennett Tracy, age 92, of DeWitt, died February 13, 2016. He was born January 30, 1924 in Morganton, N.C. to William Frank and Clara Clementine Parker Tracy. He was a civil engineer, graduate of Little Rock High School and SMU, honorary past master of Forest Park Lodge, perpetual member of Brady Lodge #752 FA&M. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a radar operator during World War II. Survivors include his daughter: Dr. Tracy Smith Hunter (Terry Kost) of Albuquerque, NM; son: Dr. W. Lee Tracy (Alice) of DeWitt; grandsons: Wallace Bennett Tracy III (Kelley) of Jonesboro, William Lee Tracy (Rachelle) of Little Rock; brother: Snow Tracy of Mt. Home; great grandchildren: Anna Claire and William Maxwell of Jonesboro, Quinn Marie and Walker Logan of Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Ann Hunter Tracy, and two brothers, W.C. (Pete) Tracy and Bill Tracy. Graveside services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt. Visitation was 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. essexfuneralhome.com.
